Intro.

Hi, my name is Caren and I'm a senior journalism major at Southern Connecticut State University. I'm 26 and live in New Haven with my boyfriend and our two cats. I have three jobs: working at the service desk at a grocery store, copy editing the school newspaper, and interning as a PR representative at my friend's business.

Photography has always been an interest of mine because photographs provide a sort of documentation of a time and place--capturing details that may have been overlooked at the time, but can be mulled over forever. This interest goes very much hand-in-hand with the way journalism serves to document.

As far as personal style goes, I am very into photographing old buildings and signs. I guess this is a sort of documentation as well. I am intrigued by disappearing or decaying signs and facades, but also by "old" things in general.

Here are some of my images--
